About Us

Harrogate District Diving Club (HDDC) was established in 1999, and is a friendly and welcoming community, bringing together divers of all ages and abilities who share a passion for springboard diving. We have great facilities with two 1m and two 3m springboards and a 5m platform, alongside a warm up area and access to studio space for dryland training.
The club has a proud history of nurturing talent, including Olympic divers Jack Laugher and Oliver Dingley. Their journeys continue to inspire young divers across the region, showing what can be achieved through hard work, dedication, and a love for the sport.
Our club focuses on developing confidence, technique, and enjoyment in a safe and supportive environment. Our coaches help divers build strong fundamentals, progress their skills to competition entry if desired, and most importantly, have fun along the way.
As a grassroots club, we have the ability to take divers from age 6 and remains the only diving club to offer a dedicated programme for disabled divers. Offering Learn to Dive, DiveAbility, and adult lessons. With squad training for divers who are ready to compete.
In 2024 we were awarded the Swim England North East Regional Club of the Year, and we continue to grow from strength to strength
Whether members are taking their first steps onto the board or working towards competitions, we aim to create an atmosphere where everyone feels encouraged, challenged, and proud to be part of a growing Yorkshire diving community.
