Competitions

When attending a competition:

Please wear your club shirt and black shorts. You are representing the club and need to be easily recognisable.
Divers must attend the event at least 30 minutes ahead of their restricted training times. Sometimes competition run ahead.
Please wait on the balcony (unless told otherwise) until it is your turn to dive. A coach or club volunteer will shout you when you need to come down.
Once your diver's competition has finished, the results will be announced. Divers will stay with their coaches and teammates on poolside to celebrate.
It does not matter what position your diver finishes, it is a huge achievement to compete. WE ARE ALWAYS PROUD OF THEM!
PLEASE CHEER FOR ALL HARROGATE DIVERS! We are a small club, the divers appreciate all the support they can get.

Selection process for competitions:

All competitions have specific dive requirements decided by the club hosting or Swim England (regional and national events).
The coaches will select the divers who can complete the entry requirement dives, consistently, to a high standard.
Invitation to a competition is on an individual basis, not squad, due to the varying difficulty of competitions.
Divers are expected to continue learning and improving their skills to a competitive level with resilience, positivity, and determination.
