TID Squad

Our club runs an annual Talent Identification Scheme where our coaches visit local primary schools for Phase 1 to test children aged 6-9 on their coordination, flexibility, and strength. Anyone who shows promise gets invited to Phase 2 at the pool to test their ability to learn the basics of diving. This squad has the divers who stood out in both phases 1 and 2. Their aim is to perfect the basics, build strength, and most importantly, have fun!

  • Sessions: twice a week

  • Coach: Albany

The Diving Talent search is part of a larger Swim England Diving Performance Pathway.

Here are the essentials for every training session.

  • T-shirt must be a sport wear style including short sleeve t-shirts or a sports wear vest top.

  • If possible, please wear your club t-shirt. These can be purchased from the club commitee.

  • Not appropriate - crop tops, button shirts, and low cut tops.

Trousers/Shorts:

  • Leggings.

  • Joggers (please consider the temperature if training is on poolside).

Additional:

If your diver does not have the correct equipment, it is the coach's decision to determine if they can participate in the activity.
